I did both endings where I befriended and ran away from the ghost, I will say the ending where you run away made me think that there might have been a way to save the ghost and keep Ashley alive, so I tried multiple times to no avail. Overall I really liked it, the Ghost and Ashley's stories were so sad, and I'm kinda sad neither get a good conclusion, but I think it works as a tragedy.
I got the "Neither of you will ever be alone again" ending, which was creepy and unexpected in a way I really appreciated, I enjoy your writing style a lot, it reminded me of Birdland a bit, both games were funny in an absurdist way. I felt that the characters seemed real, and got attached to them and their stories during the short playthrough we had. If there was another ending the path to it wasn't obvious to me, but I didn't feel dissatisfied with the choices I had or the ending I got, and found it fitting for the story. Good game!
i like the writing style, its funny while keeping the story moving, and leaves room for more somber moments. i liked the game structure of collecting items and then figuring out the right order to use them to progress. i got the ending where you bind to the ghost, and i found it really sweet. i think the development of their relationship is very natural. i do think you could set up the binding thing earlier in the story, because it feels like it kind of comes out of nowhere--like at the beginning the main character could think for a second about how she'd never bind with a ghost, maybe. such a good game though, i really enjoyed it!
befriending the ghost was fun! the ending felt sad, i got the one where the player and ghost stay in the building forever, and the player is dead. i felt sad that the player would never get to experience more of life, and make better memories, even if it is nice for the ghost to not be alone.
I'm a struggling teenager that runs away to investigate ghosts! I got the ending where I became friends with the ghost, and we continued to be companions, although it did result in my passing. Your writing style is very humorous! I loved looking under the bed and find all of the things my character shoved down there. Very relatable.
Very nicely done. Was not expecting to end up staying in the house. There was a nice balance of building tension and lighthearted moments to keep me engaged. I was expecting at some point to be in danger but was happy that the experience didn't go that way for me. I enjoyed asking the ghost about hobbies and also being able to draw on the window with my breath.
